Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Pharmacy was started in July 1963 to overcome the immediate requirement of Pharmacist. Ours is the pioneering college in Pune region and is one of the leading largest Institute of Pharmacy in Maharashtra State.
The institute is approved by all the apex bodies i.e. Pharmacy Council of India, Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai (M.S.) and Permanent affiliation under Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education, Mumbai.
The institute is achieving the highest standards in academic area. The student on joining the course are continuously assessed thought the year by conducting 3 sessional examinations with 20% weight age in the final examination. This continuous monitoring helps us to identify weaker students so that teachers can give additional attention or them. Many professionals from different areas are invited to deliver guest Lecturers on different topics so that the syllabus desired to meet the requirement as per the P.C.I. norms.
The best performance of our students in Board’s Examination has been reflected through result. Some students have exhibited their talent by securing the position in the merit list of the Board’s examination.

Besides academics, students are continuously exposed to various extra-curricular activities, like workshop, seminars, industrial visits, and college magazine, Annual Social Gathering to develop them as future to take the responsibilities with positive attitude, and confidence.
The institute has well equipped and well maintained laboratories for different branches of studies viz. Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, Pharmacognosy, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Bio-chemistry & Clinical Pathology, Hospital & Clinical Pharmacy and Model Pharmacy. All these laboratories have the modern equipment’s charts, specimen-jobs and all other necessary facilities. Our Library is also well developed and rich Collection of books. Hostel facility for Boys and Girls are also available with all necessary amenities.
All the faculty members are well qualified with M. Pharm. post graduate degree and 4 members are also awarded with Ph.D. degree. All faculty members have rich academic experience. The faculty members have also submitted their research papers in different seminars and Pharmaceutical Sciences. We have been conducting research and various project of studies in Pharmaceutical Sciences.
We have received Grants of Rs. 29.50 lakhs from AICTE under MODROBS Scheme for the studies & research in Pharmaceutical field. The placement track record of the institute is good. Pharmaceutical Companies visit this institute to recruit the student as their employees.
Over 4000 students have passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from our Institute so almost all of them are well placed and doing well in their respective field.
